Captain Dana Banks grew up fishing and diving in the Keys. Spending much of his youth with his father learning the waters.
After earning a college degree, he became a commercial fisherman harvesting a variety of fish from Jupiter Inlet to Key West.
In 1986, Capt. Dana Banks became a USCG licensed boat captain opening opportunities in both the dive industry and the fishing industry.
As a certified dive instructor, Capt. Dana Banks ran dive boats for several years. But his passion for fishing eventually brought him to the charter fishing industry.
He now operates the War Bird, a 38' Topaz sport fishing vessel. With over 25 years of experience, his amazing knowledge of the local waters has earned him the respect of his fellow fishing guides and the endorsement by Orvis as an offshore fishing guide.
Capt. Banks offers Deep Sea fishing, Key Largo Reef fishing, Florida Keys Wreck Fishing, and Backcountry fishing.
We also offer Sightseeing Cruises, Photographic Trips & Eco Tours just inside the John Pennekamp State Park and the Everglades National Park backcountry.
- 1/2 Day (4 Hours) - This is perfect for the first-time sports fisherman and includes fishing equipment, saltwater fishing license, bait, ice, and other necessities for a successful venture. Our boat features a cabin with a restroom and can accommodate 6 passengers. Just bring your food and drinks.
- 3/4 Day (5.5+ Hours) - For more fishing areas, this sport fishing trip allows us the time to try several locations to catch fish. Our crew will even clean your catch while providing storing and cooking tips.
- Full Day (8+ Hours) – Our Full Day Charter – Enjoy a full day of fishing on our 38-foot Sportfishing boat with an air-conditioned cabin and all the comforts of home for your fishing adventures.
